1) Overview:

The rotor electromagnetic disc brake is an important component of electrical transmission system. It forms a new YEJ series electromagnetic braking three-phase asynchronous motor together with Y series motor. It is mainly used in metallurgy, chemical industry, construction, mining machinery and other industries to realize rapid parking and accurate positioning, and safely brake the mechanism.

The AC electromagnetic brake has the advantages of compact structure, convenient installation, low noise, high sensitivity and reliable braking.

*The altitude shall not exceed 2000 meters.

4) Installation process of the electromagnetic power loss brake:

1) Install the retaining ring in the gear sleeve;

2) Install the flat key;

3) Install the gear sleeve;

4) Install the outer retaining ring of the gear sleeve to ensure that the gear sleeve has no axial movement;

5) Install the brake disc assembly to ensure smooth axial sliding of the brake disc on the gear sleeve;

6) Install the yoke assembly;

7) Adjust the air gap;

8) Tighten the hollow bolt on the motor end cover;

9) Install cooling fan;

10) Install the fan retaining ring;

11) Install the motor hood;

12) Install the release handle.

5) Working principle:

The electromagnetic power loss brake is mainly composed of secondary parts such as yoke, armature, connecting plate, coil, spring, friction plate, gear sleeve and manual release installation. The yoke is installed on the base or connecting plate by device screws to adjust the air gap. After reaching the specified value, it is fixed, the coil and spring are installed in the yoke, the armature can move along the axial direction, and the gear sleeve engages with the internal teeth of the friction disc.

When the coil is powered off, under the action of spring force, the friction disc and armature, base or connecting plate generate friction force, which is transmitted to the transmission shaft for braking through the gear sleeve. When the coil is powered on, under the action of electromagnetic force, the armature is attracted to the yoke to loosen the friction disc and release the braking of the transmission shaft, which is in a free state.
